Is it possibly to manually turn off cores? Suppose when you are gaming you just enable 2 cores + GPU. When you are compiling something have 4 core + no gpu. Otherwise I don't see how that heat-sink can dissipate 80watts+.

It does. No worries. Not to say temps won't get a bit toasty, but it's designed to dissipate that heat.

Because there is only one slot, it would have to be a mPCIE interfaced mPCIE card (Typical WWAN cards are USB in a mPCIE slot) and then the antennas would be ok but you would typically lose the WLAN part. WWAN combo cards are actually USB+PCIE on the same card the PCIE powers the WLAN and the WWAN is USB based. Also you would have to get a SIM card reader or some such as there is no SIM slot.

Thanks, but how can it be USB-based if it's an internal mPCIE-card? I thought it would be powered directly from the motherboard? We are talking about the same thing here, right? :P
So SIM-card readers don't come included in the WWAN cards?

Yeah I am aware of that but doesn't the Clevo W110ER has quite some clearance ? Most of these laptop has thick bezel anyway so maybe it can be modified a bit to accommodate this panel. If I have all the equipments, I would have tried out this mod but it would be easier for OEM company like mythlogic to try it out and report back to us. I am sure they have all the engineers and equipment ready anyway.

Higher resolution would be great and all, but on an 11.6"? I think 720 looks beautiful already, but more? And the GPU we would need if we wanted to have games looks nice.

Just ordered mine from Xoticpc! Who would have thunk that you could get an 11.6" laptop with a 3610qm, GT 650m, and 8 gigs of RAM for less than a thousand?! I noticed Origin PC has one for sale with a custom lid. Any thoughts on being able to get one of those? They are pretty gaudy but the brandless NP6110 can look a bit bland...
