I'm waiting until monday and see what IVB options are available.

It's not on malibal's site yet... probably waiting for Sager's announcement before posting anything

You should go Mythlogic, I've pre-ordered from them, fantastic service.

I'm still leaning more towards XoticPC as I believe I can get a better price from them... I have to say though, that I am very impressed with how Mythlogic has conducted themselves on this board and how responsive they have been... kudos Myth

I've also been very impressed with Myth's responses here. The only thing stopping me from shopping there is the price compared to other resellers

I'm also curious about fan noise (especially when just browsing internet and stuff since I'd want to bring it to class) and speaker quality. I know you can't expect too much from such small speakers, but it would still be good to know.

found something a little odd. the i7 2640 is more expensive than the 2740 and was wondering what was up with that?

to get a i7 with this is a +200 dollars on xoticpc, but, to upgrade the 14 inch 2240 to an i7 2740, its only a +100. i dont get it O.o

Do you mean the i7 2670QM and not 2740 (no such cpu)?
If so its because the i7 2640M is a more expensive CPU then the i7 2670QM. While the 2670QM is a quad core you, the clock speeds are a bit lower. The i7 2640M is 2.8-3.5Ghz vs the 2670QM 2.2-3.1Ghz.
