Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
It looks like sager is using the desktop drivers HM76 chipset. I can't even find the driver for the mobile version.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Hi. While waiting for my W110ER, I've been looking at a few other options that offer a GT650M, and came across this deal:

(Price with coupon code)
Which is pretty godlike... for a $150 reduction in price from my W110ER configuration, I can get:
1. GDDR5 vs GDDR3
2. 32GB mssd cache + 1TB vs 750gb momentus XT hybrid
3. Matte 1920x1080 display vs glare 1366x768 display
4. 6hr vs 4hr battery life (according to this review, the hp can get 5hrs in regular use)
5. Blu-Ray player vs external dvd drive with no blu-ray
The dimension comparison:
W110ER:
11.3 x 8.14 x 1.45
3.96lbs
HP:
14.88 x 9.71 x 1.23″ (min Height)/1.39″ (max Height)
Weight: 5.78lbs
And I'm having serious buyer's remorse right now. As it's still in production, I have half a mind to cancel my order of W110ER + cooler + screen protector and order this one.
Can anyone talk me out of not canceling/staying with W110ER?Last edited by LaptopUserExtreme; 19th May 2012 at 04:49 PM.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Its all up to how much you value the smaller size. You're spending the money and you know what your usage cases are and where they will take place and how often you will change location.
If you want to be persuaded then call HP or one of the hard selling resellers like Eurocom and let the salesman make the choice for you and tell you in sweet words what to do.Mythlogic Chaos 1212 | Clevo W110ER: i7-3610QM, 8 GiB 1600 RAM, Intel 160GB 320 SSD, Intel 6235 Wireless w/BT4.0, NVidia 650M 2GiB GDDR3, 11.6" Matte 768p

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Well, I just ordered a dv6t-7000 with those specs except without the mSSD, a 2GB GDDR5 GT650m instead, a 9-cell battery and a backlit keyboard for about that price =/ I plan to get a 256GB SSD later to replace the 1TB HDD. So it's kinda hard to talk you out of it but I guess the W110ER is more portable and if you game a lot you're guaranteed to get a lot more FPS on native res. And Prema is currently making a custom BIOS that'll allow you to turn off cores and save battery life. So it mostly depends on you and what you plan to do with it. I was really torn between the W110ER and the DV6 until I saw the 33% off coupon.

Yeah, I considered the DV6 also. It is a good bargain, all depends on form factor you want. I'm still considering a return too. But I already have a DV6z 6000 model and it's definitely bigger than I'd desire. But the screen and battery life make it very desirable. I'm holding out for at least a 660m with possibly AMD Trinity CPU before I go for another 15".

Thank you. I calmed down a bit, and I still desire the form factor>>>>$150 price difference. Your picture greatly helped.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
I don't know if this means much but in my efforts to determine what might be causing unusually high battery drain, I noticed something that may be of importance or not, I dunno.
In GPU-z if 650m is not active, then GPU speed is reported as 835MHz. If I set a windows app to use the 650m (non-3D app), then the GPU drops to idle speed of 135MHz and vRAM at 405MHz. I'm thinking perhaps the 650m is running full speed when not called on by Optimus.
I thought that since the Eurocom seemed to have better luck with battery life, I installed their drivers, even though they were likely identical. Unfortunately no change
I am beginning to feel it is something to do with the 650m and how Optimus is dealing with it. Some machines perhaps are set up properly while for whatever reason others are not. I dunno. It's getting quite frustrating to see 16-18W draw at idle when it realistically should be no more than 15W, really about 12-13W.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
There are beta mobile drivers on the intel site but you have to have dev access to get at them. If you're desperate for some for your install I can try taking a look at the Driver CD I got from Mythlogic.
I do wish they'd put everything onto a flash stick given the lack of optical drive on this model but I can transfer it on my old desktop to a flash stick of my own if I never need to install them.Mythlogic Chaos 1212 | Clevo W110ER: i7-3610QM, 8 GiB 1600 RAM, Intel 160GB 320 SSD, Intel 6235 Wireless w/BT4.0, NVidia 650M 2GiB GDDR3, 11.6" Matte 768p
