It would be interesting to see if disabling Hyper threading would make the processor run cooler.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Hello. I'm thinking of buying the Sager NP6110 but I still have some questions. As far as I now and according to the the review concerning this laptop the Ivy brdige Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz) a temperature of 85-90 degrees celcius is normal. But what's the expected temperature of the sandy bridge i5-2450M Processor ( 3MB L3 Cache, 2.50GHz - 3.1GHz) dual CPU? Am asking cuz i honestly hope that this beautiful machine will last at least 2 - 3 years and if the temperature diference between the i5 and i7 is signifinact i prefer to purchase the i5 (the logic being lower temperature longer life). Please answer my question in detail if possible. What is the battery life with the i5 CPU? Is it worth it to get the 750GB Seagate Momentus XT ST750LX003 7200RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 8GB Solid State Hybrid isntead of 500GB Seagate XT 7200RPM 500GB (w/ 4GB SSD Memory) NCQ Hybrid (Serial-ATA II 300 - 32MB Cache) (diference in cash 65 USD)?
The options that I have postet are the only options avalible by the provider form whom I'am thinking of buying this laptop.
I'm from Europe can you give me links or tell me all the providers of Clevo W110ER in Europe?
Thank you for yout time!

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
I'm now waiting out for more battery life reports. Seem's to be some conflicting reports on battery life from the two reviews that I've read. Htwingnut's was quite poor, the review I read on OCAU stated 4 - 5 hour battery life.
Clevo P150HMA - i7 2630 - ATI 6990M - 16gig RAM - 95% gamut matte screen
HP Envy 15 - 1104
i7-820QM - ATI 5830 - 8 gig RAM - 640gig HDD
Asus W3J - IBM X20 - Lenovo S10
iPhone 4 32gig - iPhone 3G 16gig

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
With the 650M in GDDR3, how long do you guys figure this computer will last in gaming relevancy? Not on consistently high settings, but adequate ones. I'm seriously considering getting one of these as my main rig. I don't mind the screen size or the battery life and as long as the temps don't come back and bite me.
Also, how easy is it to swap out the wireless card for something else (Killer-1103)?Last edited by WCFire; 11th May 2012 at 05:23 AM.

Re: **Official Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110 Owner's Lounge**
Those are questions everyone is asking. We don't know yet because nobody's reported on the results with the i5. Also, someone earlier in this thread posted a link to European resellers, and it was a comprehensive list. I can't find it at the moment, but take a look through this thread, last 20 pages or so.
Considering the performance is GTX 560m level, at 1366x768 you'll be perfectly fine for a solid 2 years at least. And take a peek at the photos and videos of the insides of the unit. Takes 60 seconds to swap out the wi-fi card. Just have drivers ready.
3.5-4 is about normal. Another user here, forget username at the moment reported over 3.5 hours from a general use perspective as well. NBR review reported a little over four hours with one web page refresh every 60 seconds. Even at power saver with a single page refresh I was barely able to eek out 4 hours. I'd like to know what OCAU did for their testing, because I'm not seeing anything useable past 4 hours.
edit: I see this thread: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh....php?t=1028281 and even refer to my posts, but he says my life is from gaming. I'll have to register there and figure out what he did to get over 5 hours battery life. Just don't see it. I can imagine if he used an estimated battery life. But until you actually run the battery down, first estimates from software are always way off.Last edited by HTWingNut; 11th May 2012 at 06:06 AM.
