Laptop mobos with the IB chipset will also support Sandy Bridge processors.

No, you can't fit a mobile mobo into a Sager NP9270.

You would be better off buying one from an Asian dealer.

We do not sell barebone laptops. Check with some of the barebone sellers mentioned earlier.

There's been some talk on this thread regarding OC of the desktop vs. mobile processors. I found this quote in another thread. Anyone know the ins-outs of each processor type to know if this is true? In order to simplify things, let's try to keep this within architecture. Westmere/Gulftown desktop vs. mobile. SNB desktop vs. mobile. IVB desktop vs. mobile

i7's run at a slower frequency when using all 4 cores and reach full speed (TurboBoost), when only one core is doing the work.
If so, then that is one thing to consider as an OC'd mobile chip will only be capable of running one core when turbo is enabled, where a desktop would be capable of turbo-ing among a greater number of cores, which would translate to more work being done in the same amount of time for multi-threaded applications.

Skook9 mna, you are in the minority.

[QUOTE]]"But no left windows key........you know, the one we all use. I guess clevo has a ways to go yet before figuring out how to make a proper keyboard."[/QUOTE

Every gaming machine I've had I pop the Windows key off the keyboard. Last thing I want in an intense fight is hitting the damned thing and dropping to desktop. Never had any use for that key. I see several other people said almost the exact same thing.

When buying a machine that I am going to be doing 90%+ gaming on, I want a keyboard that is made with gaming in mind, even to the point of tweaking it toward semi-console state. Fat-fingering the Windows key is a leading cause of machine breakage as irate nerds throw a machine at a LAN Party after losing some intense frag-fest.

How do you reckon this in light of not stocks clocks but overclocked M18 vs the NP9270? I believe you have also read through the earlier discussions about this point in this thread.

Wouldnt the final numbers on all those benchmarks indicate anything for two different kinds of processors running at the same frequency?
