Why not buy base model now and upgrade GPU and SSD later? I don't think you'll find something for <$1500 with HD 6970 and a 120GB SSD.

    Intel 2720QM
    Kingston KHX1600C9S3K2/4GX (8GB)
    Crucial C400 ~128GB (coming soon)
    AMD 6970 ~2GB (coming soon)
    Intel 6300N

only 1 problem..I can spend 1500 USD and don't want to wait another year to wait for the price to come down..

    therefor, back to square 1...hehe
Take out the intel 6300 and wait for the ssd

I can probably upgrade ssd later on but I am not sure about GPU...will HD 6970 be comparable with 8130? will it be easy to install?

as for 6300N, I have decided to go with it because of the wireless range. I will probably use it mostly in school and don't really want to compromise range (speed don't matter cuz in America, I don't think any ISP is providing the speed 6230 or 6300 is capable of). I can buy a usb bt and keep it on...maybe bt V4.0 will be out soon...

One thing you have to know, the reason I dropped the 6300n is that clevo models only contain 2 antennas, and you cannot make use of the third antenna. You have to disassemble the laptop to put the third antenna in if you want to use the max. speed and range of the 6300n. That is why I dropped it, and it drastically reduces the benefits of using the 6300n.

Also, I am not certain of the 6970m being able to be compatible with the 8130. At this point, it is only a speculation, and the 8150 seems to be the laptop with the "upgradeability options" for GPU..

Are you sure about this? My 3 year old M570RU has 3 antennae and works fine with a class N card 3T/3R

Go with the 8150. The 8130 has a smaller power supply, and apparently lesser cooling system which I don't believe because weight is identical at 6.83 lbs. If the cooling system was less (i.e. smaller heatsinks) the weight would be less.

Whatttt? smaller cooling system. that is no good. hehe. I thought the only diff b/w 8130 and 8150 was the screen, psu, and GPU upgrade option.

Well, that's what one of the retailers told me..

I decided just to downgrade, because it will be similar in terms of 2 antennas.

Hopefully someone will disprove of this.. I wish to use 3 antennas as well!

All of the Sager NP81x0 models have 3 antennas. Whoever said they only had 2 was simply wrong.
