Re: Clevo x7200 and Sager NP7280 owners lounge
Guys, what about the sound problems I heard on this rig? Has there been a fix for the 5.1 channel built in to this monster. I find it a big disappointment in that regard. Even though plugin headphones will do the trick but still. Also, will this monster be supported for the next 5 years? I can see a successor coming up over the horizon, but that is another topic altogether.

BIOS Support usually ends when the successor comes out.

Re: Clevo x7200 and Sager NP7280 owners lounge
I guess it *could* be temperature related, but I would think it would power down, not reboot. If it was just rebooting in Windows, I would guess temps, but a reboot while in the BIOS? That is very strange.
Did you make any BIOS changes from the factory defaults? What would happen if those were reset?
Other ideas would all be hardware related:
May want to check your memory to make sure it is seated properly. If you have more than one memory chip, try pulling all but one and trying them out individually.
If you have multiple GPUs, what if you pulled one (or the other) and just tried a single GPU?
Finally, if someone can get you a loaner (or you have a spare) perhaps try a different CPU.Last edited by jclausius; 30th August 2011 at 09:32 AM.

All is true, the notebook doesn't reboot, and ungears a supply. And I also am inclined to think that it изза temperatures.... But also I do not reject idea in spoilage of spare parts. .....!!! I in the full affliction, on the dullness (((((has solved yesterday flashing bios (mine Clevo x7200 had version BIOS V 1.00.11), I have taken following steps:
1) I wanted in the beginning flash original bios Sager (1.01.11/EC 1.00.07SA2) and flash ONLY 1.00.07SA2, and flash itself 1.01.11/EC have forgotten
((((
2) further I flash Clevo x7200 SagerBIOS_728BV111S MOD.rar (Clevo x7200 SagerBIOS_728BV111S MOD.rar)
3) the first start transits unsuccessfully (it is loaded nothing), we ungear, we include, has started to boot, we enter login and the password on the login account and a notebook hangs up! After it is made too most, there is a color picture, as a result a notebook starts to hang up in windows. Make decision to stitch it anew but on original bios clevo x7200.
4) I Begin Flash EC/KBC V 1.00.07 (X72_1107.zip,
It is successfully fulfilled Step1,
But on Step2 the notebook hangs up ((((!!!!!!! At constant peep (beep). After that the notebook turnes on only with the black screen and further loading doesn't go. What to do? Who will help??? Whether is any at this notebook recovery mode?

Re: Clevo x7200 and Sager NP7280 owners lounge
I think there is a translation issue at hand, as I do not fully understand what you have done with your machine. I'm not familiar with those BIOSs downloaded from mediafire, as I only use Clevo BIOSs. For Sager, it looks as if their latest release is 1.01.11/EC 1.00.07SA2.
Do you happen to know if you are flashing between Clevo and Sager BIOS? If so, STOP!! You do not want to be flashing between the different BIOSs. The warning on this thread's 1st post also applies to the x7200 - Clevo BIOS Thread
Also, it is unknown if that warning also applies to mixing and matching between a Clevo EC/KBC and a Sager BIOS (and vice-versa), but to be safe, I would recommend keeping these two portions synchronized.Last edited by jclausius; 31st August 2011 at 10:09 AM.
