Maybe a strange question, but I read some time ago how the w860cu and 870cu are so similar, if it was possible to fit a 860 mobo into an 870 chassis?
Or are there slight differences that would make such an operation impossible?

Sorry this is off topic, does anyone connect their NP8690 (MHD5870) to an LCD TV?
If you do, do you use the HDMI or the DVI output?
I had been using a DVI to HDMI cable with the audio coming from a cable in microphone jack. All was good but then I tried HDMI to HDMI because I wanted the HDMI audio, it all worked but the picture was noticeably worse. And it didn't work as well, sometimes the sound would fall slightly off sync, or it would randomly lose connection. So it's back to the DVI port for me.
    Anyone else notice such weirdness?

Anyone have any news/locations where I can find an updated "working" driver for a GTX460m. I've been to Sagers site, but they still don't (after an entire year) seem to have an updated driver for this thing..

Nope, my hdmi works great, altho i have my sound coming from an good old sony stereo tower :P.
My quality is also just fine with an lg e5500 1080p (doesnt support dvi so cant tell if it would have been different..).

@Tbolts23, That means bad HDMI cable.

Sounds like you are probably right, but the cable works fine when it connects my HP laptop to the TV (GeForce 9200m). It is one of those expensive gold tipped cables that I was foolish enough to give Best Buy a lot of money for so that is disappointing. But thanks for the reply.

Chaosstorm - My Vizio doesn't have a DVI port either, so I use a DVI to HDMI cable to get it done. The sound from my head phone jack is a lot less powerful than the HDMI audio, so that is what I was trying to improve. Maybe I just need a stereo like you have. Cheers!

Ok.. so today I flashed amd firegl 7820 bios on my mobility 5870 and now it still says mobility 5870 but the mobility drivers changed to firegl drivers without doing anything, the only problem I have now is that it only gives display at the dvi port, laptop nor hdmi wont work.. perhaps this bios is for a laptop with dvi and vga, because I got vga options but dont have a vga out..

Note: powerplay works out of the box.
On balanced power settings it crashes (dunno why).

Look at the catalyst pro, and some of the options.
