Thanks emike, i guess we have to wait and see if this will ever be available.
Meanwhile i will do my gaming at stock clocks.
Overall i am very happy with this notebook, i bought it from Kobaltcomputers in the U.K., everything works fine. I am playing the most recent games at the highest resolution with very high fps. The only thing that could be better is and sound system, but if you plug some good speakers it will be fine.

I assume when you say stock clocks, you are referring only to the CPU. The GPU will overclock very nicely. Take your mem to at least 900MHz, add 5% more core, and 7.5% more shader, and you'll see a bit better performance with very little added heat.

I see you put a sig up. With your config, you should be able to max GTAIV out once you put an overclock on your 9800M GTX. I run mine at 600/950/1550 for standard everyday gaming. I try to take it up to 650/965/1650 when benchmarking. I have GTA Maxed at 1680x1050, and get a solid 40-50fps with my 3.5GHz Dual core. Since GTA IV is designed for quads, you should see even better performance. The 9800M GTX is a very overclockable card. Once you get a bit more comfortable with things, flashing the 0617 vBIOS on the card will give you an extra umph of power. PM me if you have any OC questions.

I changed settings to 600/950/1550 and i can see an increase of performance on GTAIV, i see what you mean when you say its designed for quads, when i pull the nvidia system monitor i can see all 4 cores with high percentages, i also updated my driver to 179.48. thanks for the help.

I agree with emike on the 9800M GTX's overclockability I am running mine at 604/1510/850 and could go higher. But even with AS5 it still gets pretty hot at least for my tastes but still well within acceptable limits (most I've ever got in GTA4 was 82C).

However I do not endorse overclocking the memories to much. You will screw them in time, but hei... that's just my opinion.

    Hi NP5797 owner's
Just bought my unit waiting for it to be delivered. I would like to know if I can put a X-Fi 5.1 sound card in the future since right now I just configured it with "Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio"
    Thanks in advance.

I used AS5 for a while, till I picked up some OCZ Freeze. Much better thermal paste. Drops temps another 5C or so, and is easier to apply and remove.

I might have to try that, with my9800gtx not overclocked I hit 90degree's playing Dawn of War II yesterday...Blew out some dust and now I hover around 85-88c, i would like it a bit lower..
