Note: They usually have to test your custom build before they ship. I know this may be hard, but just be patient like everyone else...

i dont even think xotic placed the order to have it built =P i wouldn't have bothered with xotic's 'secured deposit' if it wouldn't get me the laptop a few days "early". i gotta admit though, i love xotic's customer service. I'm just being impatient.

We should see if this thread can be made a sticky, so we always have a place to share info!

It should be very simple.... since the notebook is using a standard optical drive bay.

Just the bezel of the optical drive will need to be swapped to the new drive (for aesthetics)

I thought it'd be hard to find one , considering the design of the 5790/1/2/3's thin lines.

    Hi Sager Owners!

I am a proud owner of this laptop too. Everything is fine - just one issue is bothering me - for whatever reason the fingerprint reader applications tends to consume up to 1 or 2 GB of my 4 GB RAM - and the CPU starts to work very hard. Could anyone help me with that?

Awesome, because I'm probably ordering there soon. But are the fans as bad with a less powerful card? I might drop down to the 8700 GT, because to be honest, I don't think I really need all the power of the 8800. But once I choose between the two, is that permanent?
