Re: *OFFICIAL* Clevo M57ru FAQ & Owners Lounge
Kevi290 , by fan speed we weren`t talking about the first kick in of the CPU fan, the noisy one for 1 second, it`s when the gpu fan starts and you can clearly hear a rush of air going out. The cpu fan has a less bothersome degree of noise, but the gpu fan, on auto mode is definitely annoying. Check your temps and see that when it hits 48 it starts yelling like a chick giving birth.

Haha, well I'll play with it some more, but I didn't notice any problems when playing Crysis--maybe the audio was drowning out the fan though.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Clevo M57ru FAQ & Owners Lounge
Hi!
Do you think, it would be ever possible to order a Clevo M570RU with Ati Radeon HD3xxx video card? I would like to buy this laptop in march, but I don't like the Geforce 8 series, because I think the Radeons offers more battery life and would be better with dx10 games.

UMMM...ati isnt very good at the moment,,,, though if U want one im sure they can't make it happen because they dont compete in the mobile marketplace and therefore you dont have many options. Though I hear the word on the street is the 8800M gtx is a better performer than the ati desktop cards!?? Apparently they arent great with the shaders, like a vamped up 7950gtx!

Re: *OFFICIAL* Clevo M57ru FAQ & Owners Lounge
It is true, the nvidia cards are much faster in dx9 games. In the next generation games the radeons will be much faster. It is because the architecture of the geforces is optimized for dx9, and the radeons for dx10. Don't forget that the xbox360's xenos gpu is very similar to the radeon's r600 gpu.

an XBOX gpus is nothing compared to the 8800mGTX> so far ati doesnt have a good high end GPu, unless they plan a suprIse release or something

Re: *OFFICIAL* Clevo M57ru FAQ & Owners Lounge
There is literally a big light behind your LCD screen, and that's what lights it up. When you change your screen's brightness, you're adjusting that light up and down.
Bleeding occurs around the edges of your screen. You might see it for yourself. Make your room dark, and then put a black screen saver or something onto your monitor. Then, you might see some white light "bleeding" out of the edges, most typically on the bottom.
My 5793 has very little backlight bleeding, which is excellent. But it's still visible in dark room / dark screen.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Clevo M57ru FAQ & Owners Lounge
Maybe, but the Ati HD3870 is only 10-30% slower, than the 8800GT in dx9 games.
If Ati announce it in a mobility variant (they plan to do it), it would be a good alternative, having better production technology, power saving technology. I think, it would have the same gaming power as a 8800M GTX.

Re: *OFFICIAL* Clevo M57ru FAQ & Owners Lounge
Yes, and the 3870 is the Ati`s flagship card even, while Nvidia has the 8800 Gt, the 8800 GTS(512 version), the 8800 GTX and the 8800 GTX Ultra above ati`s flagship. 4 cards even better than what ati could come up with best. That says a lot.
