Re: Malibal Experience
Sometimes its hard to believe posts so I decided to call myself and inquire about a new laptop not too long ago. I got the same feeling from the CSR rep I spoke with. He just did not care. I get it.. the guy may make minimum wage and hate his job but wow.. at least pretend to care. It IS part of the job description, I'd imagine. So yeah, my business has gone elsewhere as well.

Re: Malibal Experience
I'm honestly really surprised that no one at Malibal has weighed in on this issue yet. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by this, but at least I understand where Malibal is at (or isn't as the case may be) from a customer service standpoint. I wish everyone the best of luck with them in the future, but I won't be giving them any more of my business.

Re: Malibal Experience
Its the weekend, we can't really blame anyone for not being super active.
I feel the same way as OP. I currently have an order for a p151em that has been rotting in que for the last 2 weeks, and I only found out about the delay when I approached their CSR, at which point (after I got slightly frustrated about the delay, as I need the laptop before I head to china in 2 weeks) they promptly said they could cancel the order, as if that would help me get my laptop
Not altogether impressed, but at this time I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because of their positive reviews... that is, unless I can talk my Canadian brother NovaH into sending me a laptop sooner...

Re: Malibal Experience
I started this post on Thursday at noon, I'm not blaming anyone, just am seeing a bit of a trend.
Two weeks is gonna be rough to get a laptop in time, shipping alone usually takes 3 or 4 days, I honestly wouldn't wait for Malibal at this point. Talk to NovaH or Myth or Xotic and see if they can have rush service added, because at this point that's what it's gonna take to get to you on time. Unless you're having the OS installed by them, don't forget the day or so it'll take to get the new lappy up to speed.

Re: Malibal Experience
No OS needed, I'll just need a couple hours to bring things up to speed. Yeah, it has been frustrating in this situation, mostly because of the lack of information available. And yes, there is definitely that trend going on. Best we can do is reach out directly and ask them to contact us about it.

Re: Malibal Experience
Wow...I clicked on this thread out of curiosity and I am SHOCKED that Malibal has not joined in to comment. Yet they are all over the Ivy Bridge CPU threads and such. Interesting.

Re: Malibal Experience
I'm not here to flame them or start a war, 'cause frankly I'm not really interested anymore. I brought my concerns here to see if it was just one agent with a poor attitude or the whole company, and I was shocked to find that it appears the latter is true. This was not the result I expected, but such is life, I'll take my business elsewhere.
As for the others here, I think many of us are more distraught then mad. I think the lack of rage here will keep things cool. We're just trying to let one of the resellers know that we're having issues with their customer service.
I'd still entertain an open discussion (ie. 1 on 1) with Malibal so I may in the future consider business with them again. Or even comment in this thread for that matter.

Re: Malibal Experience
This whole thing reminds me of a similar situation from a couple of years back with another reseller. Hopefully this turns out better than that did.
