Re: MALIBAL Reviews
Well I bought my Malibal P150HM over a month ago, got it after a little over a week(I think), had to send it back for a screen problem. Week and a half later I get it back, they replaced the screen with the wrong one - sent it back again. So I FINALLY get to actually enjoy using the thing after spending $1,600. No apology, partial refund/credit or anything for me not having it for almost a month, thanks.

Re: MALIBAL Reviews
What was your screen problem?
I just received my P170HM with the 90% NTSC screen today and it won't turn on. Works when i plug it into an external display tho. Called malibal up and now have to wait for shipping label to return it in order to fix. Not their fault, probably something disconnected with the screen during shipping.
I hope i won't run into same problem with wrong screen replacement @_@.

Re: MALIBAL Reviews
There was some sort of spot on the screen that made pixels brighter in a penny-sized area... it worked fine but i just kept staring at it.
sent it back, they replace my glossy with a matte screen so I had to send it back again.
edit: i could have just waited until some time last week to get a laptop cuz they're slightly cheaper(and they had a better discount when i bought mine).

Re: MALIBAL Reviews
Basically read through this entire thread--
I had been set on getting an asus g74sx, but the ability to house a radeon 6990 and the awesome reviews given here have got me wanting to make a purchase with Malibal.
Hopefully I will have the money for the Veda soon.
Malibal, is the nbr free shipping code stackable with the black friday free shipping discount?
Thanks-

Re: MALIBAL Reviews
I was thinking of getting the MALIBAL Lotus P151HM but I have a few questions and I don't know where else to ask. First off, It says I can save 50 dollars by switching the ram from the 8gb 4 -so to the 2 - so and I was wondering if there is any difference between the two of these. Also, I will be using this for gaming and was wondering if its worth the $40 to upgrade the IC diamond thermal compound and whether or not that actually helps prevent it from overheating.
Also, would it be cheaper to just buy the windows separately since I can get a college student discount?

Re: MALIBAL Reviews
you mean switch from 4so to 2? it just means that you would get 4x2gb rather than 2x4gb, so if you ever want to add more memory yourself, you'd have to take out a stick. It's up to you in my opinion, if you just want to be able to open it up and add more ram to the 8gb, i'd say get the 2so dimm, just easier i think.
the ic diamond compound does help noticeably, but you could put it on yourself and buy a tube cheaper online. again, it's up to you, if you want it done and dont feel like playing around with your hardware, might want malibal to do it.
if you get a student discount you might as well buy windows seperately if it's cheaper, i'd check the price from your college real quick before buying!
