What flavor Linux?
have you tried changing to internal only in bios?
can we do this PM?
Is this adjustment problem or are you getting black screen on boot?
Sounds stupid but close lid for six+ seconds and reopen.
31 MK2 and above have screen flicker problems if set to external monitor in bios. FYI
dmesg | grep Intel
CORRECTION CF-30 MK2 and up, NOT 31.
Jessie does not support Broadwell Graphics as released. Google Intel 5500 Jessie Broadwell.
OK got it to work doing the following:
1. upgraded BIOS (in windows)
2. upgraded to latest ubuntu (intel does not support 14.04 with their latest drivers)
3. upgraded to latest intel drivers ( 01.org )
Now I have two entries in /sys/class/backlight : intel_backlight and panasonic. the former works by e.g echo 40>brightness. But somehow the key bindings are changing entries in the panasonic. Will try to fix.
acpi_video 0 is in my cf-31 mk2 along with intel_backlight panasonic
To get fn-key backlight control to work:
4. added 20-intel.conf
5. kernel parameters: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i8042.nomux=1 i8042.noloop=1 acpi_backlight=native acpi_osi="
