Default [found] urgently needed screws for alienware m15x bottom cover

Update: I no longer have need for these, thanks to all that shared thoughts and comments in this topic.
It seems the box that contained my bottom cover screws has vanished from my workbench. I ordered a set from an ebay seller but he never shipped them and hasn't returned my message and I need them urgently.

If someone can ship me a set I'd be very grateful.

It'a an area51 m15x. There are a few long and a few short screws, it's the long ones I need most as I was able to find replacements for the short screws, but a I'd prefer them all. I'm located in delaware usa and will send immediate payment with paypal, or any method you choose.

    Thank you

It looks like they just picked up a few dozen negative feedbacks in the past week or so. I considered ordering from that link you sent, but I don't really have time to wait for them to be shipped form the UK

It looks like you purchased it on the 25th, and they're shipping it economy shipping. I wouldn't expect the screws to arrive until the middle of this week. I hope you didn't leave them negative feedback.

No, haven't left any feedback yet, but dozens of others have. The problem is they immediately added tracking numbers that still aren't active, so I wrote to them on the 27th asking if they did infact ship and got no reply, then yesterday I checked my paypal account and it has the shipping marked as cancelled. I can't get any reply at all from the seller, but it looks like they just suddenly cancelled pending shipments and never bothered to notify any of the buyers.

16 negative feedbacks and 15 neutral in 4 days... so I need to make other plans to buy these, I can't hold on to hope that it will magically arrive if they can't confirm they have been sent, the laptop has to ship this week.

They sell 7000 items a month, 82 negative feedback isn't much when you put it in perspective.

I ordered from them 2-3 weeks ago, and they did the same thing. They cancled the label, but still shipped my item. It arrived on time.

That's a huge relief, but also very strange that they would generate tracking numbers and cancel them, in addition to not replying to any of my messages.

I'm still more then willing to buy a set of bottom cover screws from someone reliable, as this laptop is going to a regular customer and it's already been delayed for several days and I'd rather have some extra screws then to end up explaining why it's going to be yet another week before I can ship the laptop.

I think I'll see if I can call that seller in the morning, maybe they can assure me that it really is shipped as was promised on the 25th.

As for the negative feedbacks, it looks like a huge increase in the past week or so from that seller. I don't do the volume they do, but I've never had a negative.

ps. what I really need is about 5 of the long screws to secure the bottom access cover. I've matched up the short ones already, but I can't find any suitable for the long screws.

Have you googled the tracking number?

Recently a seller gave me a tracking number in ebay marked as DHL or something when it was actually USPS, the Ebay system couldn't track it because of this.

But yeah, you would have really been better off looking for a US seller.

I did check the tracking number, its usps and it is a USA seller. I just got off the phone with them and they don't know why the label was cancelled, but they promised to call me back, so we'll see.

I sure hope it really was shipped, but until I see the package delivered, or a credible explanation and assurance it's on it's way, then I'm still eager to buy the screws from a reliable source.

I doubt I'll be buying from laptopaid again.

update: I just got off the phone with laptopaid. It seems they are using some hybrid ups/usps system. My understanding is they ship bulk packages via ups that are delivered to local usps location where they are separated and shipped locally by usps. It seems they initially shipped them usps direct, but I'm guessing they cancelled the label to save 50cents on shipping which means it didn't go out until two days after it was marked as shipped, and now I'm estimated delivery by thursday of this week where the initial estimate was friday of last week until today. I would have paid extra to avoid their scheme to save a few pennies, so I'm not very happy about that, but at least it does look like the screws will be coming.

update 2: The package arrived (unsealed) and many of the screws were lost, but I got the ones I needed. Definitely a bad experience, but I'm just glad it's over, and glad the 5 screws I needed weren't lost.

I no longer require these screws

Final Edit: Laptopaid finally replied to me and issued a full refund. I guess they are really concerned about customer service, but failing to even seal a package of screws, and taking two weeks to reply is pretty bad service, no wonder they get so many neg feedbacks. Hopefully they get things straightened out and running smoothly, it's nice to have sellers offering small items like this, but even a $5 part needs communication if they do things like cancel shipping after payment has been made, and a simple piece of tape would have assured I got the screw set intact.

I'm not sure if I want to leave positive feedback, but I wont leave any neg or neutral.
