    Default Which Toughbook is the toughest of them all ?

    Since I got touched by the Toughbook virus, i bought several of them.

    I now have a CF-27, 3 CF-28s, 1 CF-29, 4 CF-M34s and a CF-71.

    I might buy a CF-29 mk4 or a CF-18/CF-19 soon.

    One thing i was wondering: What toughbook is the toughest of them all ?

    As this forum has many users, many of them who use their toughbooks for years, i hope to get the answer.

    I read on another Toughbook forum, that the CF-27 is the toughest one...

    What do you guys and girls think ?

    CF T2 (1)
    CF 27 (3)
    cf 28 (to many to count)
    CF 29 (3 and parts)
    CF 30 (1)
    The toughest, I think was the CF 27

    CF-M34.
    Equal to CF-27, but smaller, lighter, and more tough
    Panasonic CF-19 MK4 (CF-19TSB14), 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD Samsung 470 Series, emissive KB again , AR928x, WWAN working (thanks, forum!), u-blox GPS, Win8 x64. 1000 nits display - I really love it!

    oke, the 31 has a fan, but the 19 is as tough as it gets As far as I know? What makes them tougher/stronger/longer lasting?

    CF-19 up to mk4, I think the mk5 (2520m) does have a fan (35W CPU).

    The toughest is a Dell XFR!!!!
    J/K.. I couldn't resist..

    Side note, since I got the DELL XFR, I have beat the out of it everyday, no problems or warranty claims. Yet....
    Just a few scuffs on the lid and some wear on the rubber bumpers..

    I thought that as the CF-31 with i5 has a fan, the CF-19mk5 would have one as well.
    Let me get this right: they can passively cool a 2520m in a CF-19 but can't do it in a bigger CF-31 w/ same CPU (and intel graphics) ?

    I'm wondering how hot a 19mk5 would get in 30-40-50 C environment, doing CPU intensive tasks.

    The fan is set up still where no water can get in, the fan is on top of a sealed plate on a CF-31.

    My vote goes to the CF-28. In some sways it feels stouter than my CF-29 and 30. I have changed out one CF-19 screen that broke on a hard floor drop, but have one CF-28 that has a hit on the top cover that cracked the screen from the back side. It has a bulls-eye on the screen now and you can still see everything on the screen.
