re: W7 install on CF-19 MK1 touch screen needs calibrating , front buttons
My Mk.1 touchscreen wouldn't calibrate in W7 (it worked fine in XP though) until I installed the driver d.091707 (for the Mk.3 I think. Memory isn't what it was)
edit for anyone not reading the full thread: d.091707 is incorrect.
TPSetup is version 1.0.0.8
CalTUwin is version 1.0.0.7
Hope this helps.Last edited by unclemack; 11th January 2012 at 06:11 AM. Reason: clarity

re: W7 install on CF-19 MK1 touch screen needs calibrating , front buttons
thx mack, but i tried that driver and even downloaded it again. I'm still seeing the "no pen or touch input......." under sys properties. And when i go to the calibration utility the two boxes show up blank. I also tried the cmd to see the hidden tablet function with no joy. I looked at the driver for the "touchpad and its saying 1.0.0.3. Which device are you refrencing the 1.0.0.7 and 8 from Mack. thx

re: W7 install on CF-19 MK1 touch screen needs calibrating , front buttons
The Vista upgrade makes the bios V1.01L16 and the EC V1.10L11.
070055 is the one you need for the upgrade.
There's a .pdf of the complete procedure available on the same page as the downloads.
060232 is to downgrade back to XP.
My installed touchscreen driver version is 1.0.1.0 - this is the Fujitsu file no.
Yours seems to be 1.0.0.1
May even have got it direct from Fujitsu, not sure.
The Panasonic file no. d091707 I gave earlier may be incorrect, can't find the Panasonic file no. once it's installed. I have all the drivers I've tried and can't find my notes, it's late and I have to be up in 4 hours. Sorry.
In my util2>drivers>tscreen holding the cursor over TPSetup shows it to be file version 1.0.0.8 created 24/08/2009 17:53
CalTUwin shows file version 1.0.0.7 created 07/01/2009 12:33
The date may tally with Panasonic's date on the driver file, hope this helps.
If someone knows how I can find Panasonic's file no. from the installed driver let me know.

re: W7 install on CF-19 MK1 touch screen needs calibrating , front buttons
Hi, sorry I was too tired last night to sort this properly. The seller of my 19 had loaded W7 but the cursor wouldn't go closer than an inch to the screen edge. About 4 unknown devices too.
Because the touchscreen hardware checked out OK I tried XP with a different HDD and it all worked perfectly.
That was when I downloaded all the W7 drivers I could find and tried each one in turn - and that's why I forgot which one I was using.
This is the route to the touchscreen driver that works on mine.
I found the Japan site always seems to work, it's in the drivers and manuals sources sticky here.

Hope it works for you too.

mack, whats your bios version. I dont think mine has been updated and starting to think thats it. I found the drivers but wont let me execute the exe. it comes up with an error. Doing some research and it may be due to the bios, but i just tried to flash to the vista bios and it say my mk1 is not the right one.

Sound to me like you need to update the BIOS. The picture below shows you how I did a search on the USA site here Panasonic Toughbook Computer Support Downloads This will give you all the drivers. Just remember if you go back to XP you will need to upgrade the BIOS again to the new XP BIOS. When I upgraded my CF-30 to W7 I had to do the same thing as this.

Sorry if that wasn't clear - V1.01L16 is my new bios.
Didn't need to use the usb floppy method, just removed pc/sd cards etc., closed all programs, plugged in mains power and clicked setup... easy peasy.
It's meant for upgrading XP to Vista, not W7 to Vista. Could this be your problem?
Before doing it I spent a long time reading various how-to's here and elsewhere because mistakes with the bios can turn a computer into a doorstop.
Maybe try using Azrial's search for NBR?

re: W7 install on CF-19 MK1 touch screen needs calibrating , front buttons
There is a thread somewhere here on upgrading to W7 on a 19 MK1 and the first thing to do was to upgrade to the Vista BIOS. As far as I know the CF-19MK1 and CF-30MK1 you have to do this...the MK2's and up have the newer BIOS. On my CF-30 the touchscreen did not work untill I updated the BIOS.

re: W7 install on CF-19 MK1 touch screen needs calibrating , front buttons
Hi Blair,
"On my CF-30 the touchscreen did not work untill I updated the BIOS."
Do you mean that you installed W7 and then updated the bios? I didn't try that on my 19 Mk.1 but just assumed it wouldn't work that way round.
I was thinking Shawn would need to reinstall XP, upgrade the bios to the Vista version and then install W7.
oh yes, and reset bios to default settings before bios upgrade - all in the upgrade procedure .pdf I think.
But I'm wrong a lot these days
