Default Next Release of Panasonic Notebook?

When can we expect the next release of Panasonic Notebook family? I would hate to buy now and have a new release 2 months later.

They move very slowly, the W4 and T4 are relatively new.

I'm waiting for the cf-30! i am looking forward to a Intel core Duo (or AMDs offering) with a new fully-rugged laptop. I have no idea when or if this will happen. First in the case of Intel, they need to make a low voltage version that wouldn't possibly take much more than 15 watts (for the fully rugged, fanless/ventless designs).

Right now they are at about 30 watts.

I'm still waiting for AMD to get into the mobile arena again.

nice, been waiting for updated let's notes for a while..anyways, which do you prefer between the W5 or Y5? Y5 having the core duo of course which is big considering vista is just around the corner, and also the 14" sxga screen. But then again the W5 (and actually all the new let’s note series have had a batt increase) has a crazy listed batt life of 12 hours!! i’m trying to decide which one to buy as I have been waiting to get the W4 but once these babies came out its hard to resist. PLEASE HELP!

    I am very dissapointed

The new Y5 is only 1.5 GHz. Y4 is 1.6 GHz. I know it's Duo Core but still you know! I was hoping that it would be at least 1.7 GHz Duo Core. Any guess when they are going to upgrade it to at least 1.6 GHz Duo Core? Very very dissapointed

Yeah, it is kind of sad but you have to remember Panasonic uses passive heat cooling that requires no fan...thus one less power grabbing device to reduce run times. Until something else comes along in CPU manufacturing that can give a high throughput and not require active cooling the Panasonics will take the conservative CPU approach...IMHO.
