The OFFICIAL Panasonic CF-29 Toughbook Thread!

Guys need advice. $220.00 for 29lasgzbm...

CF-29LASGZBM DESCRIPTION:
Intel Pentium M 778 1.6GHz LV (Centrino), 13.3" Touch XGA, 1GB, 80GB, Intel 802.11a+b+g, WIN XP SP2, Emissive Backlit keyboard, No Drive

No HDD or Caddy, no Optical Drive or caddy, No battery or AC unit. Claimed to have 1gig RAM on board with open slot. As best I can tell it came with emissive keyboard and GPS no mention of either in ad.

No factory GPS (see above)

Also supposed to be Touchscreen have read here Mk 4 and 5 touchscreens are problematic.

No problems with my CF-29 Mk5's touch screen thusfar.

Money is REAL tight so yes or no.

A hard drive w/caddy is going to set you back $100+, a real Panasonic battery $80+, a CD-ROM in CF-29 caddy $80+, a power supply $20+, a Product Recovery CD set $35+ .... ; well, you do the math.
