    Default Packard Bell ?

    Hallo from Netherlands!

Are the Packard Bell notebooks reliable? Anyone using them around here?
I am also trying to find a notebook containing:

    Mobile P4 3 GHz
    7200 Rpm HDD
    128 Mb Ati Radeon
    DVD+-RW

Any idea were I can find something like that?
    Thank you very much.

Oh my gosh, Packard Bell? I had a Packard Bell computer as my first 386SX desktop about 10 years ago, but I don't think they're in that business anymore (at least not making computers in the U.S.). Either way, I wouldn't say they're a great brand to buy, they were always focused on making discount type machines and were never of that high a quality.

No, they're not in the US any more and wisely so...check out their map on this page.

They may have gotten better, but I have no reason to think that is true. I would run away...quickly.

Packard Bell is quite common, in Scandinavia at least.
Some of the other brands that are mentioned in the forum are not possible to buy here. Like Sager, emachines, Alienware.
