Default Philips freevents x54 black screen

Laptop has NO screen at all.
I have tried battery solutions, starting in safe mode, hooking it up to tv, but nothing works. No support site for the laptop anywhere

The Techguys (part of DSG) provide support for the Philips Freevents series.

These computers have nothing shared with the Philips electronics company but are a marketing brand of DSG. Most likely they are made by Twinhead or some other tier 2 OEM.

Do you have a local computer shop who could do some initial tests and diagnosis? My first thought is that the inverter has died, in which case you should be able to see a feint image on the screen. Or if you have an nVidia GPU, then it may have died.

Yeah, if you do not get any image on an external screen, it would indicate some kind of motherboard or GPU issue(though some laptops have certain combination of keys to force the display to show up on the external screen).

Are there any blinking LED or can you hear the HDD(hard drive) or a fan?

Also what do you mean by you can't get into safe mode? If you mean that once you go to the windows advance option menu(f8), and when Safe Mode is selected it does nothing then it most likely another issue...most likely a dead HDD because getting to the F8 menu would mean that you see some text which would mean that the screen/GPU works-at least temporarily.
Latitude D410. 6 years old notebook that did not have a built-in optical drive when built.
