Burger King wants to lure customers this summer with a barbecue party -- and a bacon sundae.

The world's second biggest hamburger chain on Thursday is launching several pork, beef and chicken sandwiches as limited time offers. And for a sweet ending, the company is also offering a bacon sundae -- vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon -- that started in Nashville, Tenn. earlier this year.

The salty-sweet dessert clocks in at 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.

Pretty sure Denny's tried something similar.

Exactly. It was the same way with the KFC Double Down. People try it once for the novelty value and it gets everyone talking.

I will order exactly one of these, eat it, potentially feel ill, and then never look at them again. For science.

I hate fake BBQ. Always so far off the mark that it comes down to being only a name and nothing taste wise resembles the actual style of BBQ.

ok, i was expecting little bits of crunchy bacon sprinkles... but a long slab of bacon will get soggy and greasy...

bacon is actually an interesting balance to sweets... i've been converted ever since i've tried bacon and chocolate...

if the bacon bits are crisp... it may be interesting... but not sure with ice cream... bacon + caramel, bacon + fudge... works

but i don't see myself buying this... i may nuke up some bacon to taste at home though...

Urban BBQ is great if you've ever been there. There's one in Olney, MD probably the closest one to you.
