And a disingenuous term. Puerto Ricans and Cubans don't like to be lumped in with Mexicans and the like.

Hispanic is not a race. You have some hispanics that look like the poster boy for whites.

Hispanics have every right to be as proud of their heritage as African Americans. Furthurmore, this applies to people of European backgrounds as well. Note, all three of those groups are often discriminated against and profiled.

Treat others how you would like to be treated please.

I don't think Zimmerman was the aggressor. I do believe that shooting Martin in the chest was too much though. There are witnesses for both sides.

When you chase an unarmed person carrying a firearm you become the aggressor. You are also responsible for the outcome.

If you chase me with a gun, make no mistake... I will kill you or you will kill me. This is something your father should have taught you. A firearm changes an encounter to deadly. Whoever brings it is responsible for the outcome. With the power the gun gives you, you also bear the responsibility of that power. Until you learn it, NEVER touch a firearm please.

Because Zimmerman had the power and because he created the situation, he is responsible. Martin was defending himself against an armed opponent.
I can't believe anyone would side with the person who had all the power in this situation and blew it.

Note I am pulling for an arrest and trial. If he is found innocent due to facts we do not have, then so be it.

it gets a bit tired of having every single incident slapped up as being a race issue and...

Unarmed black kid gets shot due to profiling for the x amount of times, the local authorities that already have a bad history with race related problems basically don't do anything, and Zimmerman making a racial slur on the 911 tapes.

What more do you need?

1)you get the million "something" march...

This was for blacks to unite with each other instead of bashing and hating on another. This had nothing to do with whites or racism.

2)then sometimes escalate to riots in LA...

Both those riots were after severe police abuse. The last one was even after it was caught on tape and a not guilty verdict was still given to police.

3)and escalate into riots in Washington Heights...

Tension between police and people of that community were extreme high.

4)and thousands of really, truly innocent folks have to suffer...

Yes, just like thousands suffer when riots happen all over the world from all differ races. What does this all have to do with the topic anyways?

zimmerman was wrong... but escalating this into a racial issue and inciting the public in such a manner is wrong as well.

It not about making this racial to incite the public. It's about lack of concern about this kids death from the local authorities and the racial profiling & racial slur Zimmerman used.

Last time I checked naacp get air time with no limit and never get made out to be idiots that they are. In fact they are typically invited to be on tv.

I personally don't see much of a problem with the NAACP. Are they perfect? Most likely not. But it seems when there is a group for blacks then it becomes a problem, but the fact is all minorities in America have their own empowerment groups.

Half of my family(mother's side) is hispanic mainly from Brazil, Panamanian, Puerto Rico. I've never heard anyone complain about being hispanic. It really just means someone who comes from(or a descendant) of a spanish speaking country. It's actually the proper way to refer if you don't know yet where they are from. The term "Latina" and Hispanic" is widely accept in spanish communities.

I never said they don't. You don't understand were I'm coming from. In many hispanic countries racial tension amongst black & white hispanics is just as big as in America.

How would you feel if somebody started a NAAWP? or other similar special interest groups pertaining only to white people? Id imagine yall wouldnt like that...

Isn't it possible that Zimmerman chased Martin, but Martin got away. As Zimmerman is about to enter his vehicle, Martin, whose pretty angry for being chased, jumps Zimmerman.

Is that not a possible conclusion given the facts? I see both of them at fault. Zimmerman for chasing and Martin for assaulting.
