I am looking for a new T61 battery as the one on mine is pretty dead and can't really hold a decent charge. Otherwise these things are pretty beastly despite their age.

You have three choices, 4 cell, 6 cell and 9 cell. The 4 cell fits flush, 6 cell pokes out a little bit and the 9 cell is a rather big beast on the T61. The thing with Lenovo is that they're really picky with aftermarket batteries, their Power Manager software will nag if you use them.

To find the part numbers for the batteries go to this site here or this one since T400 batteries are backwards compatible, and by all means avoid Sanyo batteries as they're utter crap.
