Why does NBR hate threads that go off-topic? Especially in the OT section of the forums. My favorite thread in a while here, the wendy's double stacker, has been closed much before its time. NBR is to uptight!

To be fair it had gotten pretty derailed. You could just create a new thread with a title that reflected what was being discussed more accurately. The current title would simply be misleading for users that hadn't been actively participating in the thread.

Convel, I disagree. Compared to so many other threads this one did not go far afield. Oh well...

Perhaps not as far, but it still did. That's the key point. When threads that go even further away from the OP don't get locked down it's simply because this forum is moderated by more than one person. I don't think this is a biggie since the discussion was rather loose and could easily be continued in a new thread.

Didn't we already have a food thread? We can always make an "odd food thread" I guess to discuss mechanically separated meat

And you know this to be fact? I've already stated my displeasure with the closing of the thread, and also the respect I and others should have toward the mods. It's subjective to be sure and always open to interpretation.

By all means you can PM a mod if you think the decision should be reversed or like Convel said, the discussion was broad enough that another thread could be made in its place :O

Good morning TRT, I felt as if I made a bad decision by signing up for Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Modern Physics, and MATLAB Programming.

Well if you excel in those subjects then I can't imagine boffin companies turning you down for employment. But then I thought High School Science was hardcore so...

Well, hopefully I can be diligent and work hard next quarter. I tend to have a slow trend of rising GPA. I'm not that great at Organic Chemistry or Physics, but both subjects are interesting to me.

How has your day been so far, Hearst?
