I applied at Sherbrooke and the Polytechnique, in both case in Computer engineering. I am pretty much sure I am going to Sherbrooke, given the intern ships opportunities I have there.

Now, i kinda have to tell you polytechnique for no other reason than the fact that i'm studying there

You doing Co-Op then? I'm not in Co-op but I found an internship on my 2nd year and some students even found internships the summer of their first University year too! It all depends how baddly you want the experience I suppose I'm sure you'll do good though either way Thierry

Yeah I went, not all night since i was kinda sick too, which turned out not to be a super wise decision since I ended up in bed all of Sunday It was loads of fun though

Yep, Co-op it is. It should be great for work experiences and it will also get me enough money to pay the rent/food for the whole year.

Ah, well at least you enjoyed yourself! :P Those kinds of events are always fun!

Hehe! Well I've heard a lot about students who studied at the polytechnique one year before dropping off and heading to Sherbrooke for various reasons like rent price, interships possibilities and overall funnier experiences.
So unless I run into some kind of financial problems, I will be going to Sherbrooke!

For those of you who don't understand french, basically the whole video is gibberish even to people who speak french and the only part that isn't is at the end when the professor asks if what he just explained is clear. We also have the equivalent in chemical engineering which is the main reason i spent the second half of my first thermodynamics class playing diablo 2 on my laptop and still got an A.

Ahah. Yeah well since Electrical engineering is comparable to Computer engineering, I would probably have to suffer through this class :P
To be fair though, Wen Wang sounds like a good guy.

Yeah, he does, just because he might not be the best professor doesn't mean he isn't a good guy. The professor we have in the chemical engineering department who isn't the best at teaching was one of the most available professors and actually made sure you understood when you went to see him for questions. Going through those kind of lectures is a pain though. Anyways, i'm sure you'll have to go through similar stuff at Sherbrooke, but it won't be all bad.

Computer Engineering has electrical classes in it, but you'll have more geared stuff to electronics specifically with a bit of programming so you should be good As long as you can sit through ICE or whatever those "general engineering" classes are you'll do good lol

Really? So you must have gone through those awful math classes. Those were a real pain.

Oh and i don't think i mentioned i was going to poly before so it's normal you didn't know.
