So I requested my colleagues to buy our office a paper shredder. I just wanted a cheap and cheerful one that shreds... and that's it.

So my colleague decided to do completely the opposite of what I wanted and bought a £100 shredder which weighs like a tank, have this stupid "Safe Sense" thing that disables the shredder if it senses something near the shred zone (which makes shredding almost impossible when you try to feed paper to it) and after putting 10 sheets in where apparantly it can handle 13 on the box, it jammed and went up in smoke (literally)... all in a space of 30 minutes. Marvellous.

And there goes the you get what you pay for saying. Get a wood shredder and shred the shredded for lulz or claim the warranty.
