Re: The real football (foot+ball)!
Fear, no.
Respect, yes.
I'm still inclined to back Spain but it so difficult to say how well they will play.
Though it should be noted that Spain have conceded a single goal to Germany's four so far - so even if their attack isn't working that well, the defence is the best around.
Plus, I don't feel Germany have faced a real challenge yet. The Netherlands and Denmark didn't pose much of a challenge and Portugal were very poor in their match against the Germans.
Robbed of possession, as they surely would be against Spain, who's to say the Germans would play nearly as well?

Three days later there's no texts, what the hell did you expect,
he's only in it for himself, for the money, for the wealth.
A shallow kiss to fill a void, a broken heart, a lonely boy,
you took advantage of his pain, took his dignity for fame!

Re: The real football (foot+ball)!
yes, because germany don't sit in their own box for 120 minutes, so the game will be more open. and hopefully Di Natale will start instead of Balotelli.
remind me, how many goals did mehsee score against germany in the 2010 WC with a 10x better team?

it was the most boring game in history. the result was so undeserved as well.

Re: The real football (foot+ball)!
I unfortunately didn't have a chance to watch the game because of work but really, Ronaldo didn't get to shook in PKs because he was late in the shooting order?! That has got to be one of the stupidest coaching decisions in a shootout ever.

Re: The real football (foot+ball)!
not really, Schweinsteiger and Drogba took the 5th penalty in the CL final this year, and they are their teams' best penalty takers. if i remember correctly, Schweinsteiger took the final penalty in the semi-final against Real Madrid as well.
it's the new thing now, letting the poor penalty takers take penalties first and getting them out of the way. that's why there are so many defenders lining up to take the penalties first. Bayern's keeper took the 3rd penalty in the CL final.Last edited by EricaL; 27th June 2012 at 07:35 PM.
