From my experience. ....... When an Android app crashes on me, plenty of times I'm forced to reboot to get it working again or reboot cause the OS is frozen. With iOS apps, I just simply kill the app if necessary and run it again. I never had to reboot iOS because of an app crash, seems like a crash under iOS is almost always contained within the app and 9 times out of 10 simply killing the app and restarting the app is the solution. With Android it's a 50/50 chance you might need to reboot. I look at the average app crash under iOS as just a glitch compared to app crashes under Android that actually give the true definition to the word "crash".

I get plenty of Android app crashes, but they never freeze my phone (though that has happened on my iPod Touch).

Another reason I like the Playbook. Android on any tablet has NEVER offered this:



Wolfson + proper audio drivers that take advantage of the hardware = bliss.jpg There's a capless class W headphone amp in there and it SHOWS. There are several other tablets out there that use the same audio DAC, and without Voodoo kernels the audio sucks because it seems none of the Android tablet OEM's care about the details like audio reproduction quality. Samsung has a beauty of a tablet with the Tab 7.7, but I guarantee it's got horrible audio from that Yamaha DAC and you'll need Supercurio's "Louder" app to make it decently loud with a good sized pair of headphones.

Since Playbooks are EOL... does that mean RIM has a new one in the works?

And without an SD slot is 16GB enough? Or should I wait until they blow out the 64s (well... blow them out even more)?

The Playbook is EOL on Telus. Nowhere else.
