Boys seem easier, but I do want a little princess in the mix somewhere.
First rule... you have no say in what the child is and Murphy's law states that you will get exact opposite. I say girl, girl, girl.

That's not what Marshall's dad said on How I Meet Your Mother

If you want a baby girl, eat lemons, heat up the lady parts with a blow dryer, and point your wife due south during conception. Also, avoid pickled herring at all cost.

My parents will tell you otherwise. I am the eldest son then my brother and finally my sister. I can tell you 100% that if my parents can reverse the order in which we arrive in this family, my sister would probably come first.

My parents has this mentality that girls are better are taking care of other sibling and manage the house so the older one should have been a girl. lol.

and congrats on becoming a dad!

Yeah, and about boys, both my kids are boys. My oldest is now just over 3. He has been a HELLION since the day he arrived in this world. We called him the 90 minute baby because he never slept more than 90 minutes at a time. What a nightmare. Trying to work, wife trying to breastfeed but couldn't so I had to bottle feed him while she pumped in the middle of the night. Talk about zombies for months on end...

Then our second baby came, and he started sleeping 10-12 hours at a time. We thought he was dead half the time. But now he's not such a good sleeper though, but my 3 year old is. Not sure what happened, lol. sigh.

Same thing happened and still happening to my friend. Oh the joys of fatherhood.

Personally I don't mind having to wake up in the middle of the night to feed or put the baby back to sleep. I've done that a few times for my friend, but then again, it was only for a few nights and I wouldn't really know the true feeling of having to do that every night.

Yeah I used to watch my nieces and nephews and an occasional thing is kind of a good experience. Fun to be with babies that aren't yours, lol. You don't mind snuggling and keeping the baby occupied, but it wears thin after a few nights in a row when nobody's getting sleep.

But I digress. That all goes away, and if you have a good partner it works out in the end and it does get to be fun. Just a lot of work for that fun.

My kids challenge me every day but I hate to see them grow up because childhood is so short. No more baby mode now for me. So enjoy your baby Blake, while you can. It goes fast.
