My cat got in a fight with a small(-ish) dog and now has a nice gash across his nose. Second time he's been in trouble with dogs. At least I'm lucky there are no big dogs in the neighborhood.

*Doesn't help that he's the cat that'll actually chase down a dog, instead of retreating. Brave but stupid.

Saw a story on the morning news about a family that got their house broken into; all their presents under the tree are stolen. I don't understand how some people cannot have any self-conscience at all, let alone justifying stealing from others.

Yeah someone robbed a jewelry store in the Galleria in Houston in broad daylight yesterday. Pretty brazen. Sadly Xmas brings out the worst in some.

its my birthday and i got nothing but a card and tonight i have to go spend time with my wife's extended family which i really don't like especially because i can't see my family this year due to them being too far away
