    It was common on the D7000 when first released. Other than that about as common as seeing it on an LCD. For the T2i I would try to exchange it.

    Actually, very common for any manufacturer.
    And the LCD comparison isn't really valid as you have significantly fewer pixels.

    In RAW these are easily mapped out - on that note though, if you have a "tight cluster" that can be a reason for an exchange.

    Upon further inspection, it seems to be a cluster of about 7 red pixels and some other white pixels randomly scattered about. I didn't know that was such an issue.

    It's on any camera, you just normally don't see them.

    However, if you have a cluster of hot pixels, contact Canon about it.
    They might exchange it.

    How are you seeing these pixels? Stills on the camera/computer, movie mode, high ISO situations?

    In the past year I've had 6 DSLRs and 2 m4/3 systems and only 1 (D7000) had a stuck pixel that was fixed with a firmware upgrade. If I had 7 stuck pixels I would return it ASAP.

    Stills and video. There are quite a few plainly visible at 100% and not scaled down.

    EDIT: And yes, high ISO. High ISO is when the stuck reds are blaring.

    If you saw only 1 then the rest were mapped out or swallowed by your RAW converter.

    I know Adobe CameraRAW and DPP automatically map out stuck/hot pixels.

    -> and with the Nikon's built in noise reduction (chroma noise) you might not even see them in a JPEG withotu compression.

    Video shouldn't happen -> i.e. contact Canon.

    It was seen on the camera LCD as well, pre-converted. If it happened on my Canon systems it was not seen on the camera LCD.
