Re: Novatech X50
Sorry for the confusion.... I think the memory is actually GDDR3 when I compared it to the information for my Go 7900GTX which is running DDR3 memory.
One thing I have noticed though is how big this laptop actually is. In comarison to a Clevo M570RU, it is just as deep and only about 2cm narrower (even though it is thinner
)
(Note: I am taking the depth of the M570RU as the same as my M570U without the Audio DJ bit)

Whoa, sorry for the mis-information. Hadn't realized that Rock had updated the card in the Pegasus 520 to a 9650M GT from a 9600M GT. Sneeky people!Originally Posted by henrybutt View Post

I am slightly unsure as to whether the X50 actually has DDR3 anymore because in GPU-Z it says the memory is running at 800mhz which i thought was DDR2...
That should make the Rock better as previously stated. Yet still, not by much.
Mmm, what is with the current spread of 15" high-end laptops that are nearly as big as their 17" brothers?One thing I have noticed though is how big this laptop actually is. In comarison to a Clevo M570RU, it is just as deep and only about 2cm narrower (even though it is thinner )

Re: Novatech X50
Rock only updated the card a few days ago when the NDA was lifted on the 19th of August. The X50 has around 2 cm of bezel on either side and 3 - 4 top and bottom!!!
