It is not better than a 6990M or a 580M.

Those are Quadro 5010M levels.(Although gaming experience can be cropped due to the ECC)

The 4000M is roughly similar to a GTX 570M.

But note that the 4000M has a HUGE OC potential. They easily OC up to 40% higher clocks, so they can get comparable to a 580M.

The 4000M can OC 60% on stock voltage and be extremely stable with furmark. The reason is that the professional cards are slightly downclocked compared to its counterparts, and hence can be overclock the hell out of.

I created a thread with the results that shows how this precision literally outperforms a laptop with the new i7 3920xm + 6990M. 3dmark11. I only oced for benchmarking as I use the Alienware for gaming. And of course, the temperature is rock solid with 60% oc

By the way, the precision with the overclock can run BF3 at 2560x1600 at HIGH setting without any AA or MSAR. VERY SMOOTH with HIGH settings.
