Default [SOLD] Modded Sony VAIO UX490N (C2D)/SSD/WWAN + Dock + Accessories

    UX is now S O L D ! ! !

    1) Sony VAIO UX490N

    2) Like New, Excellent condition UX490N modded by the great 'Anh' over at MicroPCTalk forums that I recently got from him....

UX has 48GB fast Samsung SSD, 1GB RAM, WWAN, WiFi, and BT...

Comes with one Extended Battery (on UX in photos below) as well as one Standard Battery, AC Adapter, Docking Station, Stylus, and VAIO pouch case.
License sticker under battery is for Vista Business, but I'll leave Win7 on it for your testing purposes. I find Win7 works great on it.

    3) Photo of item - Proof of Ownership

    4) I recently paid $1,200 for the above.
Yours for only $997 plus shipping.

    5) Payment by PayPal

    6) Shipping USPS Priority Mail. Shipping outside USA or Canada on case-by-case basis.

    7) Have 100% Positive eBay feedback as ‘MarkSreb’ and as ‘ArchiMark at Heatware.com

    8) have too many other mini computing devices, otherwise I'd keep this lil' bad boy....

***** Please email me through my profile page if interested. *****

    Thanks!

Wow I would love to have one of these! Does everything work perfectly? Isn't that the world's second fastest UMPC? I believe the fastest is the U7700 isn't it? Is the WWAN unlocked? What size drive? Can the ram be upgraded?

    Well, this is your chance.....

    Does everything work perfectly?
Yes, as I described, it's in like new condition....

Isn't that the world's second fastest UMPC? I believe the fastest is the U7700 isn't it?
You're correct, that U7700 is faster, but in reality there isn't much real world performance difference between the two chips.

    Is the WWAN unlocked?
Don't know, I don't use WWAN service myself....

    What size drive?
    It's a fast 48GB Samsung SSD....

    Can the ram be upgraded?
Like most UMPC's RAM cannot be upgraded, but have not noticed any issues with RAM running Win7....

Email me if more questions or interested to purchase....

    Thanks!

I followed a forum post a long time ago where they attempted to put 2gb of ram in this UMPC, I don't think it was ever done though (it was done by the guy who put a C2D in it). Hows the battery life? I notice my Viliv N5 is starting to wear a bit, I have an unopened spare though... Can't believe this stuff went for 1200$, UMPC's dropped to half that before they really just died

Btw, did your UMPCPortal sales ever go through (on any other forum I mean)?

As far as I know, no one ever got 2GB ram installed....

Battery life is very good with the extended battery...don't have more specific info as I've just briefly used/tested the UX, mostly in dock station with AC attached...

Also, sale includes extra standard battery, so, give more capacity overall...
