I have not removed the plastic protection that came attached on the screen, which is still intact.Also keyboard protector was also used to prevent keyboard from getting dusty. The laptop was skinned as seen in the picture and its possible to just take the skins and make it look shiny like brand new! This is an amazing laptop. I have also undervolted the GPU and CPU making everything run cooler. Since almost an year the only game I had played was Combat Arms, that too occasionally. The battery has also been take out and never because I never carried it around much.So it can be considered fresh. With lowest screen brightness and Wifi, word processing, I have got almost 2 hours working time with battery.

In summary once you take out the skins, screen cover, keyboard cover and put it in the very less used battery you have a new reliable laptop!

What would you trade for? Can you put a quad core desktop CPU in here i read you can.

Yes you can put a quad core processor.Lastrebelstanding had put a Q9450 in his similar 9262 and it worked well.Another option is Q6600.You can put a desktop quad in this system and to do it, is very easy.

But I only have this processor that I have and no quads.Hope this helps.

My Q9450 worked really well and even with all 4 cores under full stress the unit was running relatively cool and I've never had any overheating issues.
The cooling system on this laptop is pretty awesome.
You can even put a cheap Q6600 in there and pin mod it which will bring it to 3Ghz!
