Gr8 Deal Cin' gotta go for it, may just use it for fast external storage
Unreal25, I recently had a mechanical hard drive fail on me an lost quite a few photos. Now I use Dropbox free version,
I was 1/2 kidding, Once I upgrade to a real gaming machine (SAGER) I will be installing the SSD in it.

Using 2.5" SSD for "external storage"... now I've heard everything.

You are aware that for that money you can get few TB in mechanical drivers right...

No... really? It's very fast with hard drives too, especially when it comes to transferring large files. The whole point of SSDs is their fast access time -- a feature that would be unused if they're used for storage. On top of that, (decent) mechanical hard drives are more secure in that even if you get bad sectors, you don't loose all of your data. With an SSD, you are pretty much screwed in terms of data recovery. The other "drawback" is that for that money you can get to about 10x more ~5TB of storage (or less if one prefers to make it more secure in RAID).
