WOW what an hideous lid to put on a laptop, the plain MSI factory lid is 100% better.

I do have to agree that the standard MSI lids look better than the red one that's pictured ... but I admit beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally like Alienware lids but I know more than a few forum members who think Alienware notebooks aren't attractive.

The lid design is nice, I just don't like that particular color much. If that was midnight blue it would like quite nice.

Are there actually games where having 32 gb of ram instead of, say, 16 gb makes a visible difference on a 1080p screen? Or is this just to milk some extra money out of people who want to brag about having the highest-specced gaming rig in the dorm?

There are some pretty interesting discussions with the Maingear CTO over on the Engaget article covering this: Link

He comes off as being pretty aggressive imo.

...wow. After reading those responses, I would never do business with Maingear. Very poor way to represent the business.

Why would you buy a GT70 from an overpriced seller? Go look at the MSi forum, nobody buys from them
