Re: PC Sales Seen Hitting the Skids This Year Discussion
You don't even have to be an expert to see the decline in PC sales. Everyone is happy with what they have and/or doesn't have the funds to upgrade. It is hard to blame them because the increase in power and efficiency of computers over the past few years is barely even noticeable to the average consumer. The fact that IB and Trinity are out now but are still greatly outnumbered by SB and Llano builds, I sometimes even feel like I see as many laptops with first-gen Core-i processors for sale as SB ones, proves this. Only the performance enthusiasts feel the need to upgrade to the newest technology and unfortunately that is not a large market.
Edit: Smarthpones being able to do what 90% of people do on a computer isn't helping either
