Combine that with Samsung's transparent display and that could be pretty cool.

Knowing the manufacturers, they'll just jack up the prices for laptops with this "special glass"
Any reason to make more money, more profit in this economy by excessively charging customers for even the littlest thing.
But on topic: That's really good technology. I'm not sure if it should have come out earlier or not...or if it's brand new.

tbh, its fine if they raise the price. I would like to see it on every laptop so I had more choice, but my money will be going to people who adapt the new technology.
