Sexy vents at the back, better than the g73 thick butt. The spacing on the keyboard is hot hot.

Re: ASUS Releases G74 Gaming Notebook Discussion
Those specs sure look nice.
I'm sure it's not a major issue since most people don't use 17-inch gaming notebooks as "laptops" ... but the position of those vents make the G74 look like it might be unbalanced when it's on your lap.
Again, I rarely use a 17-inch notebook on my lap so I doubt most G74 owners will think it's a problem.

From what I have heard the 3DE is going to be shipping a little bit later like mid-July.

Re: ASUS Releases G74 Gaming Notebook Discussion
Hoping it doesn't have any issues. Probably won't since it's basically just an updated G73, and those got ironed out a year ago

With the current prices, I hardly see the value, you might get one of those because of the warranty, and thats it

It's priced around $50 more than the G73SW.

Re: ASUS Releases G74 Gaming Notebook Discussion
The vent in the older version looked more modern and cleaner. The vent grilles below make it look a tad dated.

Then again, the hardcore PC gaming crowd isn't know for simplistic taste, so this is more of a medium between the two aesthetics (modern and tech).
