Re: Dell XPS M1210 Review (pics, specs)
Those longing for a 14 incher should check out the Portable One MX WITH 7600 GeForce. Personally I would love something even SMALLER since I am comming from a Sony T250 but you cant have everything. This laptop has great specs.
By the way, has anyone actually ordered one of these???Last edited by buddy1065; 5th June 2006 at 05:39 AM.

Re: Dell XPS M1210 Review (pics, specs)
Besides the ONE MX (unable to buy in Spain), does anybody know a 13" or 14" widescreen laptop with a X1600 / GeForce 7600 graphic card? That is what Im looking for. I like DELL, but hey have a 17" GeForce 7900 and a 12" with a 7400, but nothing in the middle.

Re: Dell XPS M1210 Review (pics, specs)
In Reply to Ivano, I will be ordering one when I get the money togther, so I will order one within the week. The only thing that dissapoints me is it takes 15 days for Dell to build the thing...? 15 days? But hopefully it will be well worth it.

Re: Dell XPS M1210 Review (pics, specs)
hi there

first timer here. great review, thanks for the effort!
i'm from hong kong and am really tempted to get one. there's this offer currently that upgrades ram to 1gb and harddisk to 100gb (5400rpm tho) for free, so i'd say for (around) 1280USD this is a pretty darn good deal
2 questions tho, regarding graphics:
1) i'm still quite confused with the 256mb geforce go 7400 turbocache. so how much is actually dedicated mem and how much is shared?
2) i notice that there's a vga connecter, which is perfect since this is only a 12" laptop and i have a 17" LCD sitting around. IF i simply connect the LCD to the laptop will i be able to multitask and say serve the net on the laptop WHILE watching DVD's on the LCD? or would it be only the LCD that's gonna be displaying exactly what the laptop is? and would the graphics card be good enough if i were to game/watch DVD's on the LCD?
thanks so much in advance! i'm so tempted to get this laptop now... if i can in fact 'multitask' with the 2 screens i think it's a perfect laptop in a perfect size with a perfect price tag

Re: Dell XPS M1210 Review (pics, specs) - keyboard flex fix
hey yall, so anyone else besides the reviewer who bought one have the keyboard flex problem? mine was horrible and the keyboard even had a 'bulge' to it -- not sure if this is why everyone else's may have such bad keyboard flex, but here's how I fixed mine (the reason i linked to the digg post is to try to let people know about it, that's all -- i was just so pissed that I spent so much money on this thing and it had the horrible keyboard thing so I thought i'd try to help others who felt the same!)

Re: Dell XPS M1210 Review (pics, specs)
Hi it's me again sorry forgot to ask one question
the one that i'm interested in getting is 'only' with 1.66ghz processor. how much slower is it with the one reviewed (which i believe is of the highest specs)? Like say if i were to use the 1.66ghz to run super pi, (around) how many more seconds do i add? 10? 20? 30?
Thanks again!
