Any idea where it's available right now? I'd like to check it out.

Sorry if it took you awhile to type in "Acer Aspire One 522" into the Amazon searchbar....guess I should have never said anything in the first place.

No, thank you I appreciate it, just had to sift through a bunch of results to finally find it. Just thought you would have posted a link as well. Back on topic, it's currently unavailable, it doesn't even list a release date unfortunately. Hopefully soon, as I'd be very interested in looking at this notebook.

It now shows up as available on Amazon, no longer pre-order. I just put it in the cart and said with 2-day shipping it'd get here on January 31, so I'm guessing they expect it this week and would be able to start shipping on Friday. So you might assume it'd show up on store shelves end of this week beginning of next.

Wow ... you think 1gb of RAM will really be able to cut it? (Going from the link on the OP and not the amazon.com offering.)

I guess that is one way to shave the costs a bit....

Still, as of now the more expensive HP dm1z looks like a much nicer machine. It is nice to see more AMD fusion machines becoming available though.
