THanks man! How often does dell release those $750 off coupons? I need a laptop within the next couple months, but buying one tomorrow would be too soon.

Dell almost always has some sort of promotion going on. Sometimes they're $ off coupons, sometimes they're rebates, and sometimes they're instant discounts.

The actual dollar amount varies with every cycle, but usually not by more than $100 or so.

If you want to wait a few months, go ahead. When you decide to buy, see if Dell has a promotion going on at that time... if not, just wait a week or two and they'll start another one. This is a good time to wait for a new laptop: AMD just released new 64-bit dual-core processors, Intel is going to release their Core 2 Duo soon, the current Core Duo notebooks are getting more and more available and Microsoft is expected to announce Windows Vista's official requirements soon.

At best, this means you'll get some great next-gen tech by the time you buy. At worst, it means you can probably get the current-gen notebooks at a nice discount.
