Default Selleccion Sony VAIO FJ en Espanol

In a sign of the times, Sony has launched a Spanish language VAIO FJ in the U.S. that includes a Spanish language OS (Windows XP) and keyboard.  Sony figures that with 31 million US citizens over the age of five speaking Spanish at home, there has to be a market out there

Sony VAIO FJ Espanol is available and comes with a free personalized soccer jersey right now (view large image)

The new Spanish-version FJ en Espa ol notebook is based on Sony's popular VAIO FJ Series.   The VAIO FJ is a 14.1-inch widescreen laptop with a Pentium M processor, built-in camera, microphone and an XBrite screen.  The FJ Espanol will be available in five colors-- including Onyx Black, Pearl White, Sky Blue, Jade Green and Raspberry Red.

Sony is ramping up the VAIO FJ en Espanol launch by introducing a soccer-themed promotion. When consumers purchase an FJ en Espanol notebook PC, they can receive a certificate to receive a soccer jersey personalized with their name and number of choice in the color of their favorite team, matching the color of their computer.

VAIO FJ en Espanol notebooks will be available this month at select Sony Style Stores around the country and at www.sony.com/vaioenespanol starting at about $1,400.

Hmm...interesante.

if you think about the fact there's been a big rise in Spanish language TV stations in the U.S. (Telemundo) that are doing extremely well, yet there's little catering done to Hispanics in the rest of the consumer market, it's worth a try on Sony's part.

Very true. Whenever I have visited the States, I haven't had any need to speak English.
