Default Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time-PC Game Review

OVERALL RATING: 5/5 (out of 5)

    NATIVE WS SUPPORT: No
    WS SOLUTION: Link
    GRAPHICS: 4.5
    SOUNDTRACK: 5
    AI: 4
    PLAYABILITY: 5
    STORY LINE: 5
    EASY SAVES: Yes
    Single Player Game
    DVD & CD: Both

This game is the most unique kind of game i have ever seen or played (other than 2 Warrior Within and the Two Thrones, which are the 2nd and 3rd games in these series). Free-form fighting is amazing, and YOU get to move the camera around, so it can always be in your favor if you move the camera angles around. Many other games i have played give you a set camera angle where you can't really see everything around you. I like how you can go into first person view to look around if you STILL can't see something. Also, there is a landscape view where you can see the whole landscape of the area you are in, like zoomed out, which is cool so you know where to go and what to do next. The power to control time is AMAZING!!!!! There are traps and enemies to defeat, and if you die, you can always rewind time. 8)

    Graphics:
The graphics are amazing, especially since it came out in 2003. Gameplay + cinematic graphics were realllly reallly goood.

    Sound + Soundrack:
The sound is AMAZING as well! The Arabian music is cool, and I like how it changes to some other cool music when enemies are near, as well as when you heal yourself by drinking water.

    AI:
The AI are pretty cool. At the beginning of the game, they are pretty easy to defeat, but as you go on with the game, they became tougher to defeat. I like how they appear in front of you anyway if you try to run away. lol. I also like how if you use the free-form fighting, and dodge them, they can attack each other by accident.

    Playability:
I LOVE the camera angles that YOU get to choose. It can almost always be used in your favor. You can move the camera to your liking and if that still isn't enough, there is a 1st person view to look around through the eyes of the Prince. If THAT still isn't enough, there is the landscape view functionability, where you get to view the whole landscape like zoomed out so you know where to go and what to expect ahead.

    Overall Verdict:
Just like the Pringles motto: "Once you pop the fun don't stop!"

In this case, once you start playing, you won't want to stop!! It is a very fun game, different from any other kind of game you have ever played.

This game is for EVERYONE...young, old, somewhere in the middle

I played all three on the PS2. All were very good with the first being the best in my opinion just cause there is no been there done that factor there always is in the sequals.

I just got me the third, after having played the first and not liking the second. I'm wondering (and swearing) why the camera-control cannot be inverted on the vertical axis, like the way it used to be in the prequel (!) - if they're gonna change it, at least keep the old style an option, which is also a prevalent one anyway (some call it the "pilot-control").

I think Prince of Persia is indeed a first play first like game because of the not played before factor. The first PoP I played was Warrior Within (second one, as Sands of Time were out of stock) and I absolutely loved it (I love Dhaka). Then I played Sands and found it lacking in every aspect compared to Warrior Within, and the third one was just horrible.

Btw, why is there a games review in the Notebook News and Reviews section?
