Re: Alienware M11x Gaming Notebook Now Available
This is all I need to know
Very interesting laptop. I too was doubtful of the CPU, but if what everyone in this thread is saying is true, then this is a pretty nice machine.
Something like this, without the gamer looks, could make the perfect student/gamer laptop. Hell, it's even affordable.F8SV-A1 | T7500 | 8600M GT | 3GB (finally upgraded from 1)| 160GB 5400RPM |

Re: Alienware M11x Gaming Notebook Now Available
Well the 11in Vaio TT, does come kind of close. Granted you still get the intel culv cpu, and an intel 4500hd gpu, it does come with an optical drive and even an option for blu-ray. LG had the 10.6in x100 but not sure if that came with an optical drive but not sure if that came with a built in optical drive but it had the older gen intel CULV and the nvidia 8400gt was it? Asus also had the 12in U6e with the intel p cpu and nvidia 9300gs gpu, but battery life was poor on that machine.
Sony Vaio TT-160N 4gb of ram.

Re: Alienware M11x Gaming Notebook Now Available
The problem with gaming on battery is that the GPU is typically downclocked, so it won't be quite the same.
Hand Built Desktop - Radeon 6850 - Athlon ll X4 3Ghz
Currently without a notebook, what's next!?

Re: Alienware M11x Gaming Notebook Now Available
Unfortunately for those who don't like the Alienware design, this is your only option for an 11-inch gaming notebook until other companies step up to the plate.
Another company "might" surprise us with an announcement later this year, but I suspect Dell/Alienware is going to own the 11-inch gaming market for all of 2010.
