The 15" doesn't either. I don't care, I've gone CD/DVD less. I stream/dl videos/movies and watch them through HDMI. iPod for music. etc.

If I ever need to burn something for my stone age friends, I'll get the external.

Although theres that intel turbo boost thing it should run at fast but i wonder how it's going to multitask with clock speeds @ 1.6ghz and 1.7ghz

What has the speed to do here?
Speed helps the task to end faster. The multithreaded architecture on them helps, and the fact that they have HT and TB helps too.
More threads run at the same time=more multitasking

As a longtime Dell buyer, I liked what I read about the Envy 13 - until I saw the price tag. Here's to hoping Dell has something similar come October
    Dell E1420 w/ TrueLife // Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 | 4GB 667Ghz RAM | 160GB 7200RPM HDD | nVidia 8400GS | Intel 4965AGN | Dell Bluetooth 355 (2.0+EDR) | Webcam | 9-Cell and 6-Cell | CompleteCare/LoJack

It depends on what you're using it for. For majority of tasks, no it will be about the same. Only in a few situations such as video encoding are the i7s better.
