I'm pretty sure that the VGA port should be able to output a 1080p resolution depending on monitors.

Then your looking to spend at least $1100 on a Sony TT(used or open box), but that not really a netbook with its C2D cpu, not to mention price(1800 like base new).

How does the ATI card in this compare to the intel 4500hd card? How does the CPU in this compare to the single core amd neo?

It would be nice if Atom got some real competition, but this AMD doesn't seem to be it.
So then, what's the verdict on Gateway LT3103u vs Acer 751 ?

Gateway has better 3d performance. Acer better video playback (hardware accelerated 1080p H264).

Both are manufactured by the same company and probably use the same 200 nit display. Acer 751 is a lot lighter and has better battery life.

Personally I would run XP on any of these netbooks.

no thanks on a $1.1k computer.. I'll continue on waiting for nvidia ion or ati radeon hd 4200 or something like that for netbooks :P

Yes, both of them are same company, acer aspire one 751h isn't a lot lighter.. it is similar weight if you're using a 6 cell battery. the gateway is just a little over 3 lbs, like 3.04 lbs for the gateway and acer is 3.0 lbs with 6 cell battery. The acer do have better battery life though.

anyways.. a new color is released, red: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218099043959

Are you sure that number of the Gateway is with 6 cell?

Here in the Netherlands it was quoted as 1.3kg for the Acer, 1.6 for the Gateway.
