I think they do that on purpose. They saved the higher resolutions for the HDX16.

I like how it's an AMD, as I've never had a bad experience with an AMD computer. However, the 4650 *knowing HP* is probably DDR2, not good 'ol GDDR3, and in comparision to Asus' own N81 (comparing because of the 4650), I'd rather have the smaller size, and what is going to be a better and more efficient processor: the C2D T9550, not to mention the warranty benefits of buying an Asus and the fact it's an LED backlit screen. The Asus should have better battery life too. However this is a pretty good computer especially if you looking for one in that size range, but for the components you're getting, there are better deals. Needs higher available screen resolution too.

On another note: it's about time AMD supported up to 8 GB of RAM on two slots in their laptops.

The Intel version of the dv6t has been confirmed to use DDR3 for the ATI 4650. I would assume the same would be true here but you never know.

The screen resolution kills it for me. Looks like HP is trying to keep their "premium" HDX16 systems from being cannibalized. I laugh since the ATI 4650 in the Dv6t and Dv6z are better than the Nvidia 130s in the HDX16. It is an utter fail by HP buy not putting premium parts in their premium systems.

They could not possibly offer WUXGA, which is a 16:10 ratio resolution, on a screen which is 16:9
Typical of cheap(er)-end consumer laptops, the only choice is the "industry standard" 1366x768.
